HELP BRING POÈMES FABULEUX INTO THE WORLD
The closure of antiquarian bookshop De Boekenbeurs marked the beginning of Poèmes Fabuleux. For more than forty years, antiquarian shopowner Fred Duivenvoorde offered a space where visitors could wander among an extensive collection of books. With the disappearance of this place, not only a shop was lost, but also a physical environment that encouraged unplanned and tactile forms of discovery.
This project brings together photographs made inside the shop with illustrations from the collection, creating unexpected encounters between image, text and material. Like the eclectic collection of the antiquarian bookshop itself, Poèmes Fabuleux invites readers to wander, make connections and discover meaning without a predetermined path
Poèmes Fabuleux is beautifully designed by Carel Fransen and will be published by The Eriskay Connection in 2026. The book is almost ready to go to print and has already received support from the Amarte Fonds and Stichting Jaap Harten Fonds.
I am now raising the final €4,000 needed to complete the publication.
I would love to invite you to help bring this book into the world. After publication, Poèmes Fabuleux will be available for €21. The editions below will be available only during this short campaign:
Two copies of Poèmes Fabuleux — give one, keep one :)
