CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN FOR BOOK FAILING FORWARD
Over the past months I have been working closely with editor Ellen Sanders and designer Dongyoung Lee to turn Failing Forward into a book. The book is almost there and will be published later this year with The Eriskay Connection.
To make this actually happen I have launched a crowdfund campaign to cover the costs of printing and binding the book.
Please help me to realise this book by pre-ordering your copy at VOORDEKUNST!

Failing Forward connects photos of little and big mysteries of our daily surroundings with archival images from the NASA Archive. This project, which revolves around truth-finding, wonder and human control, navigates the two parallel worlds of our scientific and daily reality. It shifts between the enigmatic and the specific, between the clear and the ambiguous, and makes tangible that the thought that we humans will ever be in control in this world, is a self-delusion.

A MONKEY PEELED AN ONION AT BACKLIGHT2020
A Monkey Peeled an Onion will be on show at Backlight2020, Tampere (FI).
Hannu Vanhanen (director and curator of Backlight2020): ‘Related Realities is the main exhibition of the Backlight photo festival held in Tampere, Finland, for the 12th time. It offers the viewer an opportunity to study and experience how artists are currently visualizing and interpreting the relationship between art and science. The theme of Related Realities highlights the fact that there is no single reality but multiple. This is based on the idea of a union between art and science. Artists utilize exact science and new technology but also find humour in the dead-serious attitude towards art and science.
Related Realities is curated by Ariane Koek, Maija Tammi, Hannu Vanhanen and Lars Willumeit.
5.9.2020 - 1.11.2020
